Wobble Zone - In Locked Position

Picture
The part that makes the Wobblehead unique is the Wobble Zone. On the outside is a rubber boot that protects the customers car from any damage when in use. It will not dent a vehicle, nor will it leave any marks.

It also keeps the wire braided hose inside from bending to tightly. Protecting it from premature wear and damage.

Wobble Zone - In Bent Position

On the inside of the Wobble Zone is a Stainless Steel braided hose. It is double wound so that in cannot be twisted. This gives the handle the necessary rigidness on it's axis that customers need and are used to.

The brass, hex-head, brush head fitting is 1/2" MPT that will allow you to use any brush head that is currently on the market.

The Drop-line Fitting and Grip

Picture
The brass, hex-head, drop line fitting is 3/8" FIP that will allow you to replace your old handle with ease.

The black vinyl grip has been tested and proven to give a long wearing and protective covering. It also covers the Stainless Steel that might be attractive to those who steal things for scrap.

The Handle

Picture
The handle is made of Stainless Steel to withstand any customer abuse. We have run over this handle with a van without damaging the handle.

Stainless Steel also withstands chemical deterioration providing long life.

The Piston

Picture
The Wobblehead is activated by foam flowing through the handle. No foam, no lock. No flow, no lock. We have tested most brands of soap at various dilution rates. The result has always been, if there is foam flowing through the handle, the piston will lock into place in about 1 second.

We have tested 1/4", 3/8" and 1/2" lines. We have also tested the Wobblehead at locations where the foam is generated at the boom or in the equipment room. 1/4" lines usually require a bit more air and/or liquid pressure. Our base line is 25 lbs of air and 40 lbs of liquid, given you are using the manufacturer recommend dilution rate for the soap.

When foam is flowing through the handle, the piston rod moves forward and locks the Wobble Zone to its rigid position.

When the foam stops flowing, the spring loaded piston rod slowly retracts backward and unlocks the Wobble Zone to its bendable position.

The Pinch Valve

Picture
The Pinch Valve is what makes the Wobblehead a remove and replace tool. With foam flowing through the handle, the piston is thrust forward in about 1 second, to the end of the pinched area. This makes the Wobblehead rigid and useful.

The time it takes to unlock is based on the consistency of the foam. A more runny foam will unlock in as little as 5 seconds. A thick foam will unlock in 45 seconds or more. What we call "good" foam, will unlock in 15 to 25 seconds.

The Weep Water Bypass

Picture
That little "bubbled" area before the Pinch Valve allows Weep Water to bypass the Piston. Water is too thin a liquid to cause the Wobblehead to lock. This allows you to use Weep Water in cold weather and still require the customer to pay for the use of the Foam Brush.
